Value of the Utah High School Completion Diploma
As of July 1, 2009, a Utah GED examinee passing the GED Tests at Utah standards receives a Utah High School Completion Diploma. Prior to July 1, 2009, a person passing Utah GED Tests received a General Educational Development Certificate. The market value remains the same. The GED credential is widely accepted by post-secondary institutions and employers.
Prior to July 1, 2009, persons passing the GED Tests could receive a maximum of five (5) units of credit toward an Adult Education Secondary Diploma. This practice ceased as of July 1, 2009.
Persons who passed the GED Tests in Utah between January 1, 2002 and June 30, 2009, may exchange their GED Certificate for a Utah High School Completion Diploma by completing and following the instructions on the exchange form.

Part 1 - Preparing for the GED Tests Preparing for the GED Tests Trisha A. Hedin The AEC offers assistance in preparing for the GED Tests, practice materials, individualized and personalized instruction. AEC is open Monday through Friday 8a.m. to 8p.m. during the school year. A fee of $1 per session is charged. We ask that each individual purchase a $10 "punch card" which will be good for 10 sessions ($100 tuition cap per year). ______________________________

What should I NOT bring to the testing session?
Cell phones, pagers, portable music players, hand-held electronic games, cameras, calculators, pens/pencils and items NOT allowed at the tester's seat.
